Stourton House Flower Garden

One of the following clips opens with Elizabeth Bullivant, owner of Stourton House Flower Garden, holding a daffodil; appropriate as you will find an amazing array of narcissi on display here. There’s something so cheerful about these spring flowers, and is fantastic to find a garden that specialises in them – you’ll find varieties here that don’t grow anywhere else.

The video extracts reveal Elisabeth as a gardener who believes it is important to work with nature rather than against it; this is very much reflected by her garden, a fertile haven for wildflowers and wildlife, where plants are allowed to reach maturity. Everything here is so big! Huge rhododendrons, masses of hydrangeas, and a really impressive Magnolia campbellii. Elisabeth is an expert in her field, and has many stories about the plants at Stourton House. Watch the full film to find out how a visit to a garden can be a real voyage of discovery.
